Leostrin 24 FE and still having PMS symptoms?

I am currently taking Loestrin 24 FE. I am 2 active pills away from the placebos and I know that breakthrough bleeding is a side effect. I have been bleeding off and on for the last 2 weeks. I'm hoping that means I am not pregnant. However, I was under the impression that BC will stop all PMS symptoms but I am not experiencing that. Is it normal to have pain in the ovary area and have the headaches and low back pain even with the BC?
