Why or why shouldn't I join the Marines?

So I've thought about joining the USMC, but I'm so indecisive... I know that if I join, I'll get help with paying for college. But joining would also mean that I would have to stop going to school for a while, for basic training, and I won't finish college in a few more years maybe. There's also a chance that I would be deployed. Which would cost me a LOT more tiime out of school. I have nothing to lose really, I just won't get my bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering soon. And if I get deployed there's a chance that I'll die out there somewhere. =P. So what do you think? What are the benefits of joining the Marines. Any personal experiences? Would it be the best decision I've done, or the worst thing I've done in my life?
