Personal question, prolifers only please?

Ok so me and my husband have one child who i had six months ago and i told him i DO NOT want another child for 5 years. Hes in the army and away alot and i physically and mentally can not handle another child. So i told him that if we ever had an accident- i am on the pill- that i would want an abortion. He said he is getting a vasectomy now and that's that. He wanted another child... what do you think of this situation?
